Chinese Puzzle Ball

After 4 months and a 1/2 bucket of blown out Spheres, my quest to make a chinese Puzzle ball has ended......Success at last. The Chinese Ball pictured is made entirely from one solid sphere. There are 4 balls in all with 3 being in the inside and able to rotate. Sanding minor marks off the inside balls is not a whole lot of fun. The Sphere itself is 2 5/8" in diameter and obviously the inside balls get progressively smaller.
Congrats on your "stick-to-it-tive-ness", Bob. The ball looks great! Quite the accomplishment.

Reminds of the ivory Balls I used to in the market place in South East Asia. Well done, its not a project for the faint hearted.

have had Chinese ball(s) on my list to try for 6 months now. bought some captured ring tools but not sure I can do it with those. What tools did you use?

Crown brand tools will be extremely difficult to work with. After 4 months of attempted trys and blowups I got rid of them. Paid the extra money and bought quality engineered tools from Conestoga. USA made. Little hard to come by at this time since original owner Charles Waggoner passed away a year ago. If you need further information please Message me.
