Cherry bowl measures 14-3/8 x 3-7/8, DO finish. I had to cut over 2” off the height of the bowl due to the warp. Since it reduced the height I decided to do a ogee type rim with a undercut.
I’m going to pick up twomore cherry logs as soon as it drops below 90*😁. They are good size for hollow forms!
I prefer cherry over all our local wood for both turning and carving. Dixie Biggs said in our class, “ Nothing like putting that first coat of oil on a turned / carved piece of cherry” .
