Turned Triple Ice Cream Bowl

This unique bowl was turned to hold three distinct flavors of ice cream. The process began by centering each bowl on a worm screw, then cutting tenons on the bottom of each. Additional tenons were added around the worm screws on top. Using the top tenons, the lower bowl was shaped and the web thickness reduced. The piece was then mounted via the bottom tenons to hollow each bowl and further thin the webbing near the top edge. Finally, the center webbing was drilled out, and the exterior of the entire form was smoothly carved.
I’m amazed at how you got the three bowls so consistent! That’s awesome.

Very kind, luckily I took some pictures during the process. Now to figure out how to post a more complete description. Was a mental challenge for sure.
I suggest a “follow along” project Skip…it’s pretty easy. Just start a post in the forum, post a picture and a quick explanation, rinse and repeat until complete. Very cleaver piece… I love it!! Remember, you have to sand what you dream up, haha!!
