It's been some time since I've turned and hollowed a piece this size. Nearly 17" tall and 7" in diameter. All maple with the exception of a small brass "jewel" in the top of the matching lid. Hours of carving to produce the webbed pattern followed with three coats of a home made metal coating. Next a couple sprays of patina chemicals. Burnishing helps expose some of the underlying bronze. Finally a coat of sealer.
