"The Wood" for the win! Turner a close second...

This chunk of cherry had a lot of bumps and variance in the bark. A really good sign of something special inside! Indeed there was. I'm not sure what caused these artifacts but I like'm. 14" x 7" Finished with linseed oil and Mahoney's Walnut Oil Wax.

As a side note: I recently received a, "Classified Forest and Wildlands" status for my property. This means that any wood harvested will carry a Forest Service Certified Sustainably Harvested and Managed classification. Sounds fancy. Wonder if I can raise my prices? Of course I can't seem to sell anything so...
