Apple Hollow Form

I haven't seen apple this light in color before. 10 inch diameter by 3 inches high, finished with Osmo Polyx and buffed.
How did you dry such a large piece of apple?

I have trouble reaching far lateral—what tools did you use? Superb work!
I have two swan-necked tools. One is a Dennis Stewart tool (now sold by Sorby I think), the second I bought at a club auction and is home made. Both of these are not very different from Bosch or Jordan tools. But the farthest reach I can get on these "flying saucer" shapes with a small-ish opening is the Jamieson bar.

Many times I will turn once to a thin wall while green, and let the piece warp. But this one was twice turned: turned it soon after harvesting, air dried it in a paper bag, and then put it back on the lathe. Nothing special for drying.
