Natural Edge Walnut

This natural edge Walnut bowl is about 11” x 8” and 4” tall. The bowl was turned once but doesn’t appear to have warped much drying. It has four carved legs and is finished with Danish oil.
Could u report 1 after a year of drying if all legs still touch surface layer
2 could u dremel or otherwise remove a leg if it becomes nonsurface supporting.
The work has good color and a pleasing form.

The way you have turned mostly the wide, light sapwood, with the 'foot' and feet dark heartwood creates a striking and appealing contrast, and all natural. Clever. Keeping that much bark on a thin bowl is impressive, as well. Best of all, it's really nice looking. Great piece.

Thanks, Charlie, and Dean!

Charlie, I will if I still have it and remember. But, I have done several this way and none have them have moved enough to notice. If one did I'd sand them even on a flat surface. I typically put four legs on natural edge bowl because symmetry, removing one leg wouldn't look right and might not stand up.
