Brazilian Tulipwood Tower Box

After a few months break due to a bad illness and a total overhaul of our dust collection system, I am finally back to turning again! Turned from a stunning piece of Brazilian Tulipwood (Dalbergia frutescens) this box is a slightly modified version of my tower style box. Design features include a more shallow curve, a two-stepped domed lid, and slightly raised foot. This piece of wood has a lot of red and yellow/orange grain as well as some very nice vertical grain. Turned, hollowed, and finished with abrasive wax. Size is 1 3/4" diameter x 1 7/8" tall. I have a lot of interesting wood and new styles in store for this year, and I will hopefully share them with all of you!
