Thank you Hughie! I am happy how it turned out. I have a crazy brain and the repetition of gluing is soothing to me lol.

Amazing work, both artistically and technically.
Jim, how do you glue the pieces together so there's no excess glue in the spaces between the pieces in a row? No matter how hard I try, I can't get it to look that neat. Could you share the secret to this mastery?

I use Tom Lohman's gluing jig. I do not glue on the lathe. I have done these open segmented vessels enough times I am able to use the least amount of glue needed. I then use a damp pipe cleaner (they call them fuzzy sticks for crafts now) and clean any squeeze out after gluing the segment. Depending on how fast the glue sets/dries, I might glue 2 or 3 segments and then go back and clean the first one. This eliminates the segment from moving while cleaning. I still hold down with my finger when I clean.
I also use Titebond translucent that dries clear
This is just my way and what I use.
