Margins

A commentary on the balance and strength that is possible when differences are embraced. The base is 11.5” in diameter, turned from cherry, carved, and fired with a torch. The individual stones are carved from various timbers, including spalted maple, cherry burl, red oak, purple heart, and walnut. All finished with a home brewed danish oil (tung oil, orange oil, and pine vanish). Thanks for looking!
Ifer, are these two photos of the same piece, arranged differently, or two different pieces? Very striking and thought provoking, either way.

First, wonderful composition. Now, having seen both photos, further explanation is needed! Are these "pinned" in some way or are they truly supporting and leaning on each other?
