Natural Back Display Bowl

Elm Burl. 9″ wide x 8.5″ tall x 4″ deep. Bowl is 6″ diameter x 1.25″ deep.
Looks great!

Maybe I’m missing something obvious but how was this mounted? I don’t see anything on the back that would lead me to believe there ever was a tenon or a recess

No mounting points on the piece itself.
I used a previously rough-turned bowl, turned it to approximate shape of the outer burl (had to cut some of it away on the bandsaw). A bit of messing about to get it secure and oriented the way I wanted. Then wedges and hot glue to secure the burl in that bowl.
