Maple, Sycamore, magnets, acrylics. Approximately 4" x 4" x 4". I haven't posted a dragon egg here in a while. These are fun to make, albeit a bit time consuming (isn't everything...). I made this one for a swap on another forum. I experimented a bit with paint techniques, so that the egg would have the texture of a real egg. It's close, but can be refined a bit more. The base is a really pretty piece of Sycamore. I burned and incised the top so that it would look like fire-scarred land and be a bit less distracting. But, flip the piece over and you can see the beautiful grain/rays. Photo below.
