2025 AAW Forum Holiday Swap Ornament

For the 2025 AAW Forum Holiday Swap I sent out an ornament. The Curly Mango ornament was hollowed into a cylinder and capped top and bottom with Cherry and finials made of Yellowheart. It was finished with Minwax Wipe-On Poly and a light coat of Renaissance Wax. Mark T. was the recipient.
Howdy Ted, Thanks so much! I don't remember exactly, but the Mango cylinder was just a smidge over 2" in diameter maybe pushing 2 1/4" (?). Not much distortion in the photograph and it was taken pretty close to straight on, so printing it out and hitting it with a ruler will give you a good idea. That cylinder shape is pretty straight forward but I am not very good at close duplication on finials, so they all turn out different. But I sure do enjoy turning spindles and giving my 1/4" spindle gouge and mini tools a workout. Have fun!
