Eucalyptus with turquoise inlay

Eucalyptus with turquoise inlay 12.5 x 12. turned with end grain on the side . Finished with semi gloss polyurethane
Nice piece Larry,
Have seen a bunch of your work with the turquoise inlay,
Can I ask how you do it? I really like the idea of using the checking and defects as an artistic element like that, my brain goes straight to the big can of west systems epoxy sitting under my bench but know its not that simple.
