Wont Hold Popcorn

Red Oak Burl bowl. I had hoped I could get a hollow form out of this chunk but that was not in the cards. This was a pretty far gone mess. You've heard of Live Edge, well this was Dead Edge. It did manage to hold together much to my surprise despite coming off the lathe several times. There was hard packed dirt, completely rotten wood and very hard dry wood all to turn through. I ended up hosing it off when I got the outside shape roughed in. 10" x 5" Finished with linseed oil and Mahoney's Walnut Oil Wax.
