My neighbor left a cottonwood crotch in her ditch with a "Free Wood" sign. I thought I would do her a favor and put it on my burning pile. While rolling it onto my tractor forks, I looked at the wood and decided to slice it up on the sawmill and see what it would make. This was the most select piece I found. I final turned it while wet and after drying sanded it out an put a few coats of polyurethane on it. After the poly dried and cured, I buffed it out.
This bowl is about 10 inches in diameter and sits less than three inches off the table.
