AAW Winter 2008 Contest

The inspiration for this came from an Arendal Mantle clock. Black walnut was turned, a portion was cut off for clock face insertion and pendulum detail. Clock cavity was drilled out with forstner bit. The pendulum area cavity was routed out and ebonized with no finish (to create illusion of depth). Pendulum and rod are maple with a hint of acrylic gold finish. The walnut is finished with several coats of tung oil. Size is 3" dia. X 9" tall.
John, thanks for your feedback, much appreciated. I really enjoyed making this clock.

Michael, Norm, thanks for your wonderful comments and rating.
