Punk

This hollow form is turned from end grain, spalted maple. It came extremely close to the burn pile several times. It was really punky, has worm holes, and moldy. The tear out was nearly impossible to overcome. It measures 7.5 inches by 5.75 inches and is finished with wipe-on poly.

All comments, especially critiques, are welcomed and appreciated.
Good save Joe, worth the effort. I like the way you positioned the figure, it flows well with the full form, it adds to the lift. Flipped 180* and the flow is downward.

Glad you made it work. That one looks really good.
