WOW excellent stuff this is amazing the lacquer is flawless and I love the carving but the thing that sets this off for me is the little glimpse of the red interior!

Very nice piece! I've been fascinated with Southwest, Oaxacan , and similar pottery since I was a boy, and find this turning every bit as captivating.
The vessel is made of cherry,,and the interior is red gesso,looks a lot like the color that the clay pots are made of......also feels a lot like clay.....I also leave them a bit on the heavy side so they feel somewhat like the clay ones.....
