John, what "flavor" of Rosewood is that? Did you bleach the sapwood? Vessel size?

Florida Rosewood-I'm told it's the same as Honduras rosewood. No bleach.

John these pieces are amazing I enjoyed your article in the magazine and am very interested in the lathe you use just need to get one in the UK!!! (and some credit) this piece is a beautiful timber I have never seen it before the contrast is great Thanks for posting!

Richard, there are a number of Stubby lathes in the UK. There's even one in N. Ireland, which I was surprised to see at a demo there.
