Really nice piece. Quite original. I especially like the use of the spiral fluting. Only suggestion I can think of would be to place the narrowest part so that it is one third of the length (down from the top).

A pair of what? OOOOOOOh a pair of candlesticks, can't do, only piece of mulberry I had...When doing my fluting, it is hard to regulate just where the thin part will occur. Also after you start you are basically commited . This piece took a first in the spindle part of our local competition..Thanks for the comments...Ray
