Odd Man Out

Oak tubes, 6" & 7" x 2 1/8" bore, microwaved, BLO and wax outside, metallic blue acrylic inside.

Melaleuca tube, 4" x 2 1/8" bore, wire brushed in and out, microwaved, ferrous oxide outside, verdigris inside, irridescent gold acrylic band.

This is a bit of a social commentary (they're "Blue Bloods", but of course!), mostly stemming from my hippie past, but relevant at any time. They see the flaws in others, yet don't see their own flaws under their shiny veneer.

Comments and critiques are always welcome!
Hi Scott,
Tubes are fun canvases for texturing and coloring, and make great use of scrap material in the process. This is also posted on World of Woodturners, which you might consider joining as well...it's free.
Thanks for your comments,
Rick
