Hadn't made a continuous figure piece since before I got the "new" lathe, so this was designed as a minimum removal type lidded jar from the start. Almost stopped before Trimming the top flush to the bottom. Think I'll do one like it soon. Could have gone with a knob rather than a finial, too, because the "star" was attractive. Oh well, at least one decision I made one October long ago worked out great. Walked down the aisle with her.
