Dodo reimagined

"The DODO bird sculpture transforms an old bowling pin, meticulously cut, reassembled, and hand-carved. I brought out the textures and details that echo the bird's lost world through pyrography and dry brush painting. The piece is mounted on a Saguaro Cactus crotch skeleton, accompanied by litchi berries, creating a unique diorama that merges natural elements with repurposed materials. This work blends history and imagination, a nod to the extinct and the enduring."
Way to pull it all together Ron!! It’s hard to look away from. Not to diminish your fine work, that Cactus skeleton really makes a great (dare I say perfect) visual base!
