Dyed Rim, BLM Burl Bowl

This is a wide rimmed bowl that I turned from a piece of Big Leaf Maple Burl. The rim has been dyed using Chestnut Spirit Stain—black and red. It is12 1/8”W x 2 5/8”H. I finished it with multiple coats of high gloss spray lacquer.
I really love what you have done with this platter, Steve. It is beautiful and well displayed. Well done, indeed.

Nice !! Certainly made my head turn and stare!!!! Did you choose the chestnut brand because you knew it would give you the color you wanted?

thanks!!j
