Elegant Ogee Bowl II

Time for a break from boxes and go to something different.....this ogee bowl is a companion to my Maple Burl ogee bowl I made earlier this year. Decided a darker wood would make a nice two piece set. Wood is Spalted Honduras Rosewood and it is turned to a thin wall with a foot. Finished with wax and buffed. Size is 7.5" in diameter and 2.75" tall. The wood turns really well and polishes to a fine luster. The contrast between the spalted section and heartwood is really beautiful!!
That’s really beautiful wood which is also well-turned. I especially like how you positioned the transition from spalted sap wood to heart wood. Great work!

Caution….slow guy catching up! This is a single piece of wood? WOW! It appears Mother Nature can fool Mother Nature!
