Flower Power

After making a few mills with straight and spiraled flutes Alison said now make one with flowers on the sides! I said I can't the Rose Engine doesn't work that way. Her reply, "I'm just the idea girl so figure it out". So that got me thinking and I came up with an idea of making a jig to hold the mill horizontally on a faceplate jig I had previously made to support bowls to decorate the bottom or sides on the RE. I think I will have to try this again. The wood is Arbutus (Madrone) and is finished with 5 coats of tung oil and buffed.
Almost looks like brown snowflakes, nice
