Four-point cherry pepper mill 2

7-1/2" pepper mill made for a billiard enthusiast, made with curly maple points set into mitered veneers of purpleheart, maple, and dyed black poplar. The top has a thick walnut ring with maple and walnut dots. The finish is multiple coats of Deft lacquer over 1 lb. cut of Moser's super blonde shellac.

Very nice design Dana. It says billiards to me! I assume the recipient was thrilled.
Thanks, Will. I tried to not get carried away with the pool cue cliches; silver rings, ivory, ebony, etc. I leave that for the cuemakers that have 5-axis CNC capabilities and well-heeled clients! The recipient will not receive this pepper mill until their wedding anniversary comes up in a couple of months. Dana.
