Green Sea Urchin Ornament

While I was at the OVWG Symposium, I watched Ashley Harwood demonstrate sea urchin ornaments. Excellent demo and ornament, so, inspired with ideas and plenty of skill I sought out to try them on my own! Here is the result. Green sea urchin ornament with Gaboon Ebony finials. Shell is filled with foam and the ornament is finished in gloss lacquer. Size is approx. 6 inches tall. These are challenging but fun to make, so more may be coming in the future!
Excellent work, Gabriel. Nice details on the icicle/drop finial. Personal preference - reverse the urchin so the narrow part is on the bottom. Try it, you might like to mix them up!

Thanks everyone! Sure Tom, never saw it that way but will give it a try!
