Here’s my finish demo

My six sided star bowl
I used it in my first demo for our club
Made of black walnut, maple and cherry. With Paduak and cherry side walls
Great looking glue up Robert! Do you ever have any cross grain cracking issues with this star? Looks pretty close to the pool, going for a dip, haha!!

Woods shrink in different amounts grainwise. Aligning grains help prevent this. If you took this star as built and resawed it, then staggered the glue up by giving it a twist (one half a segment) this added glue surface might hold things together better.

It not the star that separated it’s the end joint of the 🍒
