The piece is outstanding. The blasting, coloring the wood, adding the pewter collar and foot brought it all together.

a very beautiful piece - the dying and sandblasting really accentuates the form and grain.
a personal preference - I wonder if the overall impact might be improved by making the foot a slightly smaller diameter and making it more similar to the neck in shape ie flaring out at the bottom?
but any way you look at it, this is a great form!
