Lattice

“Lattice” is a hollow form of Bradford Pear that has been carved with a lattice pattern after drying for two years. The finish is the natural wood which was buffed and waxed. The piece measures 8”x5”.
Very nice. How thick are the walls? Did you draw out the “lattice work” or pierced the design on the fly? What tool was used to pierce?
Paul, the walls are 1/4", which made cutting with the Presto difficult but gave the piece a bit more depth. The design was drawn on the piece with the assistance of indexing lines. Here is a progress photo.
