Low Rider

This is the 2nd hat from the Flowering Cherry I harvested this fall. The trees were tagged as in severe decline and it was all I could do to get this hat hence the name. Lots of diameter but not much depth to work with. 17.5" brim weighs in at 11 ounces and is hat #75 The band was created on the Rose Engine using a 3/16 slot cutter and a 24 bump rosette when the wood was wet before hollowing the inside. Finished with Danish Oil followed with about 5 coats of wipe on poly.
