Manta with a twist in it's tail.

This is a variation of one of Terry Scott's Manta ray boxes. It is 9" square x 5"high, turned and carved from Sapele, the textured wings burnt on using concave cutters in a Dremel. The finial was carved and textured using a pyrograph.Critiques welcome.

Don,Charlie, Thanks for you comments, Lionel there are only four wings, the one forming the rear wing is twisted, hence the name. I've posted another photo to show.
