Maple Lidded Box

This box is made from a piece of spalted and figured maple. I rough turned in Jun 09 and finished May 13, 2010. It is 3" in diam. X 2 3/4" tall. I used Ubeaut EEE and Mylands friction finish while on the lathe. I finished with Tung Oil.
very nice

Nice little box....good lining up of the grain on the top and bottom. I would like to see a box like this out of White Oak Burl. Now that would be stunning!! I like your natural finish...no stains. That fits this work.
