Maple Live Edge Vase

Simple but still interesting little vase from the hard maple that fell across my neighbors driveway this spring. 7" x 8" finished with linseed oil and Mahoney's Walnut Oil Wax.
Nice piece, Nino. That rim light highlight along the left side is fantastic and really helps this piece stand out. Well done.
Thank you kindly sir! That is one reason I like the black background. If you look back through my gallery you'll see that is a common thread once I got a space cleared out to shoot properly again.

Attached is the raw photo. As you can see there was some post work. I tested for Adobe PS in the late '90's early 2000's and can retouch/edit photos with my eyes closed :) I do not "fix" turning errors but will color correct and remove lighting tricks.

I recently had a shop tour for the local AAW group I'm in (Village Woodturners) and also did a photo demo for them. I think it was well received.
