Simple but still interesting little vase from the hard maple that fell across my neighbors driveway this spring. 7" x 8" finished with linseed oil and Mahoney's Walnut Oil Wax.
Thank you kindly sir! That is one reason I like the black background. If you look back through my gallery you'll see that is a common thread once I got a space cleared out to shoot properly again.
Attached is the raw photo. As you can see there was some post work. I tested for Adobe PS in the late '90's early 2000's and can retouch/edit photos with my eyes closed I do not "fix" turning errors but will color correct and remove lighting tricks.
I recently had a shop tour for the local AAW group I'm in (Village Woodturners) and also did a photo demo for them. I think it was well received.
