Meandering

The title refers to the "path" I took in getting to this final piece. Various color combinations, dyes, paints, textures... I wanted to reach beyond what I've been doing and try to find some new design elements that strike me. The wood is soft maple. The "field" area is India ink and blue dye with carved texture; the "vines" are burned for texture and colored with my own mix of metallic/iridescent pigments in acrylic medium, the silver is an acrylic paint. I think it's 6-7 inches in diameter.
