Mulamanama ornamental box

This box is made from Mulamanama and is 60mm in diameter and 50mm tall. This is a new wood to me and it has a fine dark brown fleck in the grain that is very attractive. The side of the box was fluted on my Rose Engine lathe with an 8PB rosette and a universal cutting frame. The lid was decorated using two different rosettes with and has a yellow CZ stone in the centre. It is finished with 3 coats of gloss lacquer.
