Oak Lidded Vessel

This lidded vessel and my other posting were created for the Richmond Woodturners Club 2nd quarter challenge. The challenge was to create a lidded vessel or box with a finial. The vessel was turned from chestnut oak and it is finished with Danish oil. The lid is cherry and the finial is purpleheart. The finish for them is spray lacquer. The body and lid are also threaded using pvc electrical conduit fittings. The overall height is 8".
