Wheel chock piece, 10" x 4.5" Maple, dyed. Reminds me of a Bull Kelp mass in the ocean, which holds lots of fish 😁. Need to work on my photography set-up.

The "wheel chock piece" terminology has me completely confused, especially as the start of the description. Would you mind defining / explaining / clarifying?

I'm assuming that the color on the outside was painted. Am I correct?
