One Planet, One Humanity

This 13-inch-tall stool was turned using a variety of techniques including off-center/therming and on-center approaches. In a recent online discussion by Mark Sfirri I was inspired to create human-like figures that form the legs of this stool using therming as a technique. Therming allowed me to create three such figures simultaneously on the therming rig as shown in the image with the first comment. The different woods I used for the figures are symbolic of the multiple peoples that make up Humanity. The seat depicts our One Planet that is supported by One Humanity.
Here is a view of the human-shaped legs on the therming rig.
