Pagoda Box_08

Pagoda box with walnut finial measuring 6 1/2" h x 2" w. This box was turned for one of our local club challenges. Everyone was handed a small limb piece of Pagoda no larger that about 3 1/2" in diameter by about 12" long, and we could turn whatever we wanted out of it. It was really interesting. Pagoda is not a well know wood in Kansas, so none of us had any experience with how the wood would react or turn. We all had a lot of fun finding out. Finish is lacquer.
