Pau Marfim Covered Calabash

Little one, at 3.25” d and 3.25” h. First time working with this wood, which was a generous gift from @John K Jordan. I have another chunk left, and the m excited to get to it eventually. It is dense, has a lovely scent, and turns/sands beautifully. Dimensions aren’t strict to traditional standards, but I sort of like the rotund body. And if we’re being honest, I intended the body to be about 1/2” taller, but an unruly hook tool had other plans. One last cut… 😉
