Pepperwood from St. Dominic Church

The church around the corner took out a very old Pepperwoood tree. This small 9.5" plate was just a test piece, but it turned out with an amazing grain pattern ... or is it an ink blot?
That's pretty cool. The orientation in this picture looks like a sunset. Will be interesting to see what happens with the other pieces.
 
Awesome! I see a landscape with the moon rising. Ain't wood wonderful.
