Ragged II

Ragged II

Wood: New Zealand Rimu
Finish: Airbrushed with acrylic paint then oiled with Haarlem oil.
Height: 305mm (12")
Diameter: 220mm (8-5/8")

This piece is the second piece in this series but instead of using black acrylic paint on this one I thought I would try a little colour. It started looking a little bright so I airbrushed black over the other colours to mute them then sprayed a fine mist of gold over that. The carving on the inside is done with a Dremel and the outside with an Arbortech.
Comments and critiques welcome.
Robbie, I think this piece is absolutely super. I'm not one for direct copying, but I have to try this myself. I think I know how to do it, but if I get stuck I'll be in touch.

Thanks Bob, no problems. Robbie you can get hold of me through my website.
