Reflection

A box turned on my Rose Engine Lathe.

Mahogony and Walnut. 3" wide. Finish is walnut oil and wax. Buffed to a low sheen, and hand rubbed with 'lots of love. I was shooting for a natural finish with a patina. I want the finish to look like the box has been handled for many years.

This was an idea I've had for some time. I call it "Reflection" because of the reflections throughout the piece. This is also a milestone and a time for personal reflection on my ornamental turning journey.

This is my most difficult ornamental turning to date, and I'm pretty happy with it. Thanks for looking!
