Reptilian Twist

Reptilian Twist

This 8 inch tall vase shows that there is a reptilian shape lurking inside of your next turning. All you have to do is uncover it! The vase was turned from maple with a multi-axis twist in the center section. Texturing, painting and highlighting were done to create the 'reptilian' surface. The upper and lower portions of the vase were turned round, on-center, to highlight the beauty of the wood. Finish on the wood is Watco oil.
