Rosebud

This piece was turned and carved from holly. The wood color was lightened using wood bleach since it was a summertime storm damage harvest. The design is an interpretation of a rosebud. It is 11 1/2" tall and 7" in diameter. The wood finish is clear water based satin acrylic to minimize any darkening of the wood and the paints are matte acrylic.
