Rosewood ornamental dish

This is a shallow dish that I made from a piece of reclaimed Rosewood (very pale which is unusual) 14cm in diameter. I decorated it on my Rose Engine lathe using a 24 bump rosette and a UCF to soften and thin the outer edge before using the same combination to decorate the inside of the dish. The centre of the dish was decorated using a 12v diode laser and an 8 bump rosette, unfortunately, the laser was not quite on centre and this shows on the inner pattern. Finished with 3 coats of lacquer.
