Scrap of Burl

Ever have a cutoff from a nice piece of wood like a maple burl and you just didn't want to throw it away? It happens to me sometimes and I find myself thinking how can I rescue that scrap of very interesting wood. Here's my attempt. I added a slab of mahogany, cut it to a nice shape and turned a small bowl in the intersection of the burl and mahogany. I think it highlights the beauty of the maple burl well. Finish is Watco oil
